Taking a "Test Drive" trip

Can you imagine? We had never been camping nor sleeping in a roof top tent.

As we had never slept in a roof top tent José invited us to take a "test drive' trip. We would go to a camping place during a weekend to take the experience of camping. We chose going to Tiradentes, a historical city in the interior of Minas Gerais, about 200 kilometers far from Belo Horizonte. 

The trip was excellent. We went on Friday, September 30th. On Saturday it rained all day. Imagine you are camping on a rainy day: lots of mud, dirty shoes, slippery land. We prepared our breakfast (Mr. Elio's motorhome has a kitchen) and went to a nearby city by train. Travelling in an ancient train was wonderful. Looking the rain through the window, the country size, the animals feeding ... It was a magic trip.

In São João Del Rey we visited the historical places, such as churches, ancient buildings and the cemitery where Tancredo Neves was buried. 

Tiradentes is a lovely city. It is a well-preserved town with ancient buildings and many  crafts stores.

We came back to Belo Horizonte on Sunday. Our friends approved our performance. Finally we can travel with them.
