Beginning the trip

All is ready, the baggages, the food to eat during the trip, the documents.

We left Itajubá, in the south of the State of Minas Gerais, on December, 27th to Atacama Desert, in Chile. Dispite of reviewing the check list of the trip, we forgot part of food to eat at breakfast. We had to eat bread with olive oil because we forgot ham, cheese and cream cheese.

On the first day we traveled about five hundred kilometers. We visited Santuário de Nossa Senhora Mãe Rainha de Shoensttat, in Atibaia.

The chapel is very small. Jesus was exposed to be adored. We prayed to take a blessed trip. The place is very beautiful and transmits a lot of peace. Everything is very clean and well-cared. The bathrooms are clean and they smell good.

The gardens are full of flowers. Colors everywhere. The grass is cut. We had lunch under the shadow of the trees. We eat spagetti with chicken sauce, salad with lettuce and carrot. We drank water, rested, washed the dishes, put everything in order and …on the road again.

After nine hours, we arrived at Estação Kafé, in Santa Cruz do Rio Pardo.  The local structure is fabulous. The place shows the history and the importance of coffee into the development of Santa Cruz do Rio Pardo region and Paranapanema Valey.

Railroad helped the development of the region. The place is very well decorated. There are several sculpures representing the people style of the time.
