The first trip (back in time)

The first trip with Pietá was to Santuário da Nossa Senhora Piedade, Serra da Piedade, Caeté, near Belo Horizonte in the state of Minas Gerais. It is fifty kilometers from Belo Horizonte. It is one hour by car. The main characteristic of this sanctuary is that it is on the top of the mountain.

The climate was cloudy and foggy. We couldn’t see the view from the top of the mountain. We took a jacket. It was very cold and windy.


Last month the Pope constituted the sanctuary as a basilica

Arriving in Uruguay

January 13th, 2018 The day before yesterday, the eleventh, the trip was very tiring. We traveled eight hundred kilometers. We left  Sauce Viego at nine o’clock and arrived in Punta del Este at eleven p.m. Everybody was exhausted. We passed through customs from Argentina to Uruguay. There they inspected our van. In the fridge there were tomatoes, eggs, apples, onion, bananas and carrots. They told us it is prohibited to go into the country with animal and vegetal products. He picked up the eggs, the carrot and the onion. There was no mountain in this region of Argentina and Uruguay we passed. It is plain. It predominates the soy, corn and sunflower plantations. There were lots of animal feeding stuff rolled in haystack.  Fotos It predominates cattle raising. The cattle breed is Angus. Lomo, in Argentica, correspond to “file mignon”. In Brail.
