Visiting Iguazú National Park

We got up early, about five thirty. Don’t be astonished. We always get up at this time, even on vacation time. We were very anxious to visit the Iguazu Falls. We went to the grocery store to buy fruit and vegetables. We went to the bakery to buy food for breakfast time. Our youngest daughter arrived in Foz do Iguacú, Brazil. She came by plane. We went to the the customs place to pick her up. We prepared some sandwiches, fruit and cookies to take to the trail. When we left the camping it was rainy.

First Time Travelers

Two funny things happened: First we routed the GPS system to the nearest supermarket in the area. It sent us to a 15 kilometer distance supermarket. We followed the GPS advice. When we realised we were near the customs returning to Brazil. We didn’t change the name of the country  in the GPS system to Argentina. We laughed a lot. It is the first time we use the GPS system. And besides we had never traveled to a different country by car.
The second funny thing was that we went shopping but no store was open. I said: How strange! It’s half past eight and no store open. We asked a man walking: Why are the stores closed?
He answered: The stores open at 08:00 a.m. and it’s still 07:30a.m.

Visiting Iguazú National Park

According to Mr. Hélio the view of the falls from Argentina size is more beautiful than from Brazil one.

To visit the falls there are six trails we can choose to go.

First we went to Devil's throat trail. It is the longest one. It is brown. First we took a train. And then it took us to a square in the middle of the forest. After that we walked 1.100 m. to the Devil's throat. It is marvelous. We walked on a bridge over river Iguazú. The scenery is unforgettable. Too much water.  I thank God for such a beautiful scenery.

The second trail we took was the blue one, Upper Trail. It is unforgettable too. We went on walkways and arrived under a big waterfall. The water drops fell down on our face.

We saw many different animals.

Walking through the Upper Trail.

Mr. Hélio told us that a place that grows mushrooms has pure air. They only grow in places without pollution.

Going to the north of Argentina

As usual, we got up early, prepared breakfast with coffee, milk, yogurt, papaya, banana, bread, ham and cheese.
During the trip, we saw some Indians family selling plant seedlings. We passed through Lago Urugua-I where is the end of the Itaipu Hydrelectric. We  saw many native people selling fruit around the road. We stopped and bought a big watermelon, a bag of oranges and some mango.
